As a Juilliard trained performing musician with eclectic and sophisticated taste, I bring a unique perspective and understanding to each recording project. When not performing, I love nothing more than collaborating with other musicians to forge a lasting document of which they can be proud. My goal is to capture your most inspired performance to share with others.
The modern commercial recording industry is no longer accessible to any but the same few artists to create a recorded legacy. Modern technology now offers a viable way for artists to record both popular and unusual repertoire that might be rejected by traditional labels. Some artists even record for their own label, controlling the process from creation to distribution to their target audience. My years of recording experience on both sides of the microphone — as musical performer and as producer — create a potent combination to help you create your own personal record.

Peter Weitzner combines his flair for musical performance with a life-long passion for the recording arts. Having performed a wide variety of musical styles from bluegrass to baroque, this versatility combined with his knowledge of current recording technology allows him to capture your most intimate musical moments. As producer, he will guide you through the whole process, from selecting the proper recording environment, to editing and the final master.

Published work includes critically acclaimed recordings for classical label Bridge Records as well as broadcasts of live concerts heard nationwide in frequent contributions to American Public Media's Performance Today on National Public Radio (NPR).

Notable recorded artists include:

"Peter, your concert recordings are outstanding. Always glad to share your handiwork!"

"Oh YEAH. Alexander (Fiterstein) and Michael (Brown) brought Bernstein's music brilliantly to life! And Peter, the clarity and richness of your recording made it possible for the world to hear their artistry. Teamwork!"

Fred Child, host of American Public Media's Performance Today

"Peter Weitzner was wonderful to work with as both producer and editor. He is positive, supportive and thorough. With years of recording experience, Peter has excellent musical taste, looks for the life of the music and understands the musician's intention. I was able to make my own edit choices, and together Peter and I created recordings that we both stand by and believe in."
